Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the entire country will come under WiFi network.

She declared the matter in her speech on the closing day of the last session of the 11th National Parliament on Thursday (November 2). In her speech, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina showed a video footage of various types of violence including attacks on police on October 28 in Parliament. After showing the video, she said, “Which type of Bangladesh did we want? Bangladesh that we have made ‘developing’ in just 14 years by working day and night, I declared the charter of change. Today, Bangladesh has got the status of a developing country.”

The head of government said that the dream of Sheikh Mujib, the father of the nation, was to develop Bangladesh and turn it into a country free from hunger and poverty; that developed Bangladesh, Golden Bangladesh, is our goal. We have made visionary plans keeping in mind the goal of Smart Bangladesh in 2041 with modern technology. No one can stop this progress of Bangladesh by implementing it.

During this time, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Mustafa Jabbar and Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed clapped their hands and supported the Prime Minister's speech.

Expressing the hope of implementing Smart Bangladesh from Digital Bangladesh in the Parliament, the Prime Minister said that ‘we have developed Bangladesh, I said the charter of change, and Bangladesh has got the status of a developing country today. Now with the universal pension scheme, private sector professionals including freelancers do not have to depend on anyone else. I have created massive employment. No one can afford to be unemployed now. We have created Taka Pay.’

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina once again rejected the possibility of any kind of dialogue on the upcoming national parliament elections and said, 'With these terrorists, militants, these inhumane, who would like to live with them, and who would sit with them? Who said to sit with these animals? I mean, even animals have a religion. They don't even have that religion. They have no sense of humanity. They know nothing but theft, plunder, corruption, mischief.'

The 11th National Parliament started its journey on January 30, 2019 and its term will end on January 29 next year. Among them, the 90-day countdown for the 12th National Assembly election has started on Thursday. There is an obligation to complete the election within this period. Sessions are not held in these three months. According to the constitution, there is an obligation to hold the session within 60 days, but this provision has been relaxed for the last 90 days of the term for the sake of parliamentary elections.
